WebJul 25, 2016 · Hi, I have a new rattle that is annoying. Each time I drive over any kind of bump in the road, something on the left side of my car rattles. The noise is directly in my left ear. ( I'm 6'3" ) I thought is was the door handle, but it is solid. I thought is was something in the top, but the. noise occurs with the top up or down. WebSep 23, 2024 · A very popular shock upgrade are the bilstein 4600/5100s. 4600s are for stock height, 5100s if you want to lift it a little bit. They are more geared towards offroad so on-road smoothness might suffer a bit. That said, my ride (on AND off road) improved dramatically when I went with 5100s from my worn out stock shocks.

I have new springs, isolators, sway bar endlink bushings, caster camber plates, subframe connectors and it every little bump in the road seems to HIT my car instead of be absorbed by the suspension. I feel ever bump and crack in the road through my gas pedal and floor. I dont know if i just started to really notice it but i have had this wheel setup for a long time. My FX4 rides harsher than my buddies '04 Lariat. Likely at 200K miles, you do need a new suspension.
