We derive, for the first time, the differential decay rate formula for this decay mode. Using the obtained result, we perform a sensitivity study for the Belle (II) experiment.

WebJun 7, 2024 · The hadronic \tau decay is a very useful tool to investigate the nature of the light hadrons. The initial state being lepton allows to study the strong decays of the final state hadrons in a clean manner. The hadrons being produced from the W boson provides a valuable information on the vector and the axial vector couplings of the hadrons. WebWe review the status and future prospects of the determination of the CKM matrix element V_us using inclusive strange hadronic \tau{} decay data. We also review the results for V_us extracted from experimental measurements of some exclusive \tau{} decay channels such as \tau-> K \nu{} and \tau-> \pi \nu.
