WebDec 1, 2024 · Re: D7500 vs D500 - AF question. I was using both side by side on jobs for a year before moving to buying two Z6s. As the light gets lower the D7500 will just no longer focus at all at some point and the D500 will keep on going into much darker. I used both as the image quality is the same so editing them together was easy.
